Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Your feline buddy will be right there with you as you start making preparations for the autumn holiday. Cats are definitely something to be grateful for. But what about Fluffy? What do you think your kitty is most appreciative of? A local Pasadena, MD vet lists some pawsibilities below.
Food may very well be at the top of Fluffy’s list. Feel free to give your furry pal a yummy Thanksgiving treat! Just stick to safe, suitable foods. Plain, cooked turkey is fine, as long as you remove the skin, bones, and fat. You can also offer your kitty some shredded deli meat, sodium-free broth, or a can of plain tuna in water.
Our feline pals are very clean, and they definitely prefer their bathrooms kept that way, too. (We recommend scooping daily.)
Fluffy is a predator by nature, so it’s really not surprising that she loves to let her inner huntress out by pouncing on her favorite toys. Pick up a new catnip mouse or squeaky toy for your frisky feline this Thanksgiving!
Kitties certainly are sleepy little furballs. Fluffy can sleep up to 20 hours a day! If you pay attention, you may notice your pet rotating from spot to spot for all those naps. Make sure your kitty has plenty of comfy beds to choose from.
We know, Fluffy would literally scratch this one off the list if she could. Even if your cat isn’t exactly grateful for appointments, she’ll be much healthier—and therefore happier—with proper veterinary care.
One of the many things we love about our feline friends is the fact that they fit purrfectly into our laps. Fluffy is a great napping buddy! It’s probably safe to say that many people will be spending Thanksgiving night in food comas, with their kitties curled up purring in their laps.
Did you know that recent studies have shown that cats actually do love their humans? As it turns out, Fluffy gets extremely attached to her people. Your furball is definitely grateful for the love and care you show her! (She may show that gratitude in odd ways, but that’s another topic.)
